Looking for the latest info on AWeber pricing and plans?

AWeber is an email marketing software that allows you to create and send newsletters, manage subscribers, and track campaign performance. It’s a great option for small businesses and entrepreneurs who are looking to get started with email marketing.

The service has a flexible pricing structure that charges based on the number of subscribers you have, rather than how many emails you send. It also accommodates monthly, quarterly, or annual payments. Both of these things make AWeber’s pricing not only manageable if you have a small budget, but also fairly straightforward as you never have to wonder if you are missing out on important features.

That said, if you are on AWeber’s free plan, you won’t get access to some premium features.

So, which AWeber plan should you get? The free, somewhat limited plan, or AWeber Pro, which is somewhat costly but will help you grow and scale your business a lot faster?

An In-depth Look At AWeber Pricing

AWeber’s Free Plan

If you want to start an email list but don’t have money to invest in a paid plan, then Aweber’s free plan is a great place to start.

With this plan, you can send up to 3000 emails per month to 500 subscribers. The only catch is, you can only use one list profile.

Although this plan has a low cap on the number of subscribers, it still gives you access to most of the email, landing pages, list building, segmentation, ecommerce, account management, reporting, customer support and integration features available on the paid subscriptions.

These include:

  • Integrations with Facebook, PayPal, Woo commerce, Shopify, Word Press and hundreds of other services.
  • 24/7 live support on phone, chat and email. You also get free migration
  • Unlimited team members on your account
  • Ecommerce features such as purchase tagging, sales tracking, payment plans and subscriptions
  • Access to unlimited landing pages, including video landing pages
  • List building through sign up forms or word press plugin
  • Segmentation features such as tagging subscribers and sending to segments
  • Easy Email Template Creation + Editing. You can choose from more than 700 mobile responsive email templates and customize them with our easy-to-use Drag & Drop Email Editor. Add images, videos, text, buttons and more!
  • Email Automation. This allows you to create a series of messages to be sent out automatically over time. Use this feature to build relationships with your subscribers, create a welcome message for new subscribers, promote products and more!

These features are powerful and make up most of what you need to start building a brand from scratch. However, when using the free plan, you will not get access to some useful features that any business requires to scale fast online.

  • You wont for instance get A/B testing for you sign up forms. Without this feature, you will have a difficult time increasing your sign ups.
  • The reporting feature is also pretty basic, and denies you access to the more advanced performance reports that you would need to make critical business decisions.
  • You also cannot create custom segments. This may likely result in a low email open rate. It may also result in unsubscribes due to low message relevance.
  • Cart abandonment is also missing on the free plan. Without this feature, your customers are as good as gone once they exit your page.
  • Behavioral automation is also another feature that makes quite a difference when you want to build a successful business online.

There are a few more useful features missing on the free plan, but the ones mentioned here should paint a pretty good picture of why you need to upgrade to Aweber pro as soon as possible.

AWeber Pro Plan

AWeber Pro is AWeber’s paid plan.

AWeber pricing for this plan is based on a sliding scale of number of subscribers. Subscription period also affects how much you’ll pay, with monthly subscriptions typically costing more than quarterly and annual subscriptions.

The lowest subscription -which costs $19.99 for 500 subscribers- is a great alternative to the free plan. Although it only supports 500 subscribers, it lets you send unlimited emails and create unlimited list profiles (unlike the free plan).

If you are on the free plan but can find some $20 to spare, I would recommend upgrading to AWeber pro instead so that you can experience the full capability of AWeber.

That said, here are all the additional features you get when you pay for AWeber pro (at any subscriber level):

  • A/B testing. You can test your emails (e.g subject lines, send times and more), to improve their performance. You can also A/B test sign up forms to improve sign up performance.
  • Behavior automation. This feature lets you can send personalized messages based on subscriber behavior.
  • List management features for efficient management of your subscribers and email lists
  • Custom segmentation for smarter message targeting
  • Advanced reporting features such as advanced message, audience and account analytics, sales tracking reports, and webpage tracking
  • Cart abandonment. This feature helps to increase visitor conversion and sales, by reaching customers who did not buy from you
  • Purchase tagging. With this feature, you can improve your post-sales sequencing, among other sales and marketing related activities.
  • Remove AWeber branding. This will help you to build a strong brand that customers can identify with.

How To Cancel Your AWeber Subscription

You can cancel your AWeber subscription anytime by:

  1. Logging into your account
  2. Find your name at the bottom of the page and click on it.
  3. A drop-down menu will appear. Click on “my account” then click on billing.
  4. Click “close my account” and follow the instructions to complete the process.

Does AWeber Have A Free Trial?

No.

AWeber does not offer any free trials.

You can sign up for its free Plan to get started for free. You’ll have access to email marketing tools as well as autoresponders, which allow you to send up to 500 subscribers up to 3,000 emails per month.

Drawbacks

  • The email templates have a dated appearance
  • Aweber’s ecommerce functionality is not strong enough to replace dedicated ecommerce platforms/software
  • It can be costly for beginners on a low budget

Conclusion

AWeber is great for:

  • Those who are just starting with email marketing or who have limited resources
  • People who want a simple way to create newsletters and automated campaigns using pre-made templates and widgets, without having to do much coding themselves
  • Small ecommerce businesses who need an easy way to send marketing emails or transactional messages triggered by events like abandoned cart recovery, order receipts, shipping notifications, and so on.
