Trying to figure out the most suitable Kajabi pricing plan for your company?
We break down the main differences in each of the three Kajabi plans so you can make an informed choice.
The quick details: Kajabi provide the Basic plan at $149 per month, the Growth plan at $199 per month and the Pro plan at $399 per month. You get 20% if you pay annually as one lump sum payment.
Each plan comes with a 14 day free trial and you can get your money back if you cancel your subscription within 30 days of your first payment if you need to.
For building a digital business, Kajabi is probably the top software out there in terms of quality of its course creation and marketing features but business owners understandably question the high entry level pricing. Therefore, we also breakdown Kajabi’s pricing in comparison to their main rivals in the article (click here to jump to that section).
When it comes to building courses, Kajabi’s two key rivals are currently Teachable and Thinkific. They have a very different pricing structure in that both companies have entry and some mid-tier price plans that come in under $100 a month.
> Free Plan: $0 (per month) for Thinkific only
> Basic Plan: $49 (per month) Thinkific and $39 Teachable
> Pro Plan: $99 (per month) Thinkific and $199 Teachable
> Premier/Business Plan: $499 (per month) Thinkific and $299 Teachable
Why is Kajabi more expensive? Well, simply these platforms do not offer marketing features, most notably marketing automation.
Thinkific and Teachable will help you build and deliver a quality course but you are on your own in terms of driving an audience to your page. Kajabi, uses marketing funnel features like Pipelines (discussed in next section) to help grow your audience.
If you want to build an audience with Teachable or Thinkific, you will need to invest in other software like Clickfunnels for building sales pages and Mailchimp for email marketing. All in, you will pay more for combining these software platforms without the benefit of using one interconnected hub for analytics reporting and administrative ease.
Regarding other features, make note that Teachable charge 5% on transactions with their Basic plan while Thinkific only allows membership sites from the Pro plan upwards.
In terms of other ‘all-in-one’ software companies that provide both membership/course creation and marketing tools, Kartra is a worthy competitor. Their entry-level plan is $99 and it gives access to every key feature.
Most of their features couldn’t be faulted but they definitely put more focus into their marketing funnels which means their membership builder is quite weak.
Your choice will come down to your needs: If you just need a platform to host your courses, Thinkific anricing structure ind Teachable will do the job you need for much cheaper.
Kartra could be the right fit if you don’t need a membership element and require marketing capabilities.
Kajabi should fulfill your requirements if you want the all-in-one solution with the key tools all available to run a digital business.
As a starting point, the Basic Kajabi plan provides access to 3 Products and 3 Pipelines.
A Kajabi Product is the asset you plan to offer digitally so this includes online courses, membership areas, resource centers or communities.
Pipelines are optimized content marketing and sales funnel sequences that have been automated and streamlined so you don’t have to build from scratch.
A high converting sales funnel for selling online courses can be built with a few links with Pipeline, therefore.
You are limited to 1 website and 1 admin user at the basic plan level but this should suit most entry level entrepreneurs and business owners. These are built with their responsive website builder and they can take the form of a membership site if you wish. You are also restricted to 10,000 Contacts at this level.
The more important feature constraint to watch for though is Active Members which is set at 1,000. Active members are contacts that have logged on their account with you within the last 30 days.
This would be the more likely feature to reach your limit on. In reality though, if your online business has over 1,000 active members, you should be able to afford the $50 step up to the Growth plan.
Additional features to note would be 0% transaction fees. Many competitors charge roughly 5% at the base plan level so this is a noteworthy perk of their Basic Plan.
Unlimited landing sales pages and marketing emails are also offered at this tier, another important perk when you are trying to build your audience.
Currently, Kajabi are running a special deal where your Basic Plan free trial is extended to 28 days from the standard 14. Using the link below, you can access this trial extension.
This is a limited time offer which is subject to change and is only available for the Basic Plan. Higher tiered plans do not have this extended trial.
A free 28 day trial is not available if you go directly through the homepage of Kajabi.com
Kajabi requires users to input their email details in stage one and then you are brought to this page you see in the screenshot.
Here you must put in your credit card details and Kajabi will charge once the free trial period is over.
All the major credit cards are accepted including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
A deeper look at the feature list can be found in our Kajabi review article.
The Growth plan tier provides more volume in every feature.
Products and Pipelines are increased and 10 admin users can work on the website. Most importantly, you get a bump in the active user limit to 10,000 while contacts increase to 25,000.
Advanced automations allow you to drill down further in your automated targeting. Specifically, an ‘Only If’ filter is added to your automation conditions so you can customize your reach further in your email marketing campaigns or digital product posts.
The Growth Plan adds the affiliate program feature at this tier too which means you can use your audience to help grow your business.
Simply give them a share link which they can use to bring leads to your site and pay them a percentage for every referral that becomes a customer.
As is standard in all software packages, you get added customer support as you go up the tiers with 24/7 chat support offered with the Growth Plan.
Growing companies looking for more brand independence can also benefit from the option to remove the ‘Powered by Kajabi’ page display with this plan.
The Pro Plan features increases are pretty self explanatory – all your limits are increased in Products, Pipelines, emails and contacts/users.
The Pro Plan gives you the allowance to use Kajabi’s software on three websites.
The Plan is targeted at digital agencies managing a few companies’ online presence and successful business owners who are broadening their site portfolio.
The code editor is the other noteworthy feature that Kajabi offers at the Pro Plan level. Companies can therefore fully customize specific parts of the Kajabi software like the email marketing campaign templates to suit their online business.
