Let’s now jump into the specifications of each of these plans.

Free Plan

The free plan can be used to test-drive some of the basic features of Elementor and to get a feel of its designer and builder.

This should be seen as an alternative to a free trial, and hence comes with a basic version of the drag and drop editor, 30+ basic widgets, and 30+ basic templates. You also get five website kits and a basic version of Theme Builder as a part of this plan.

Another important aspect to note is that starting from Elementor version 2.9, you can’t drag and drop the Elementor widgets under the free plan. You must have an active license for the drag and drop feature.

In all, these features under the Free plan are not helpful to build a professional-looking site but can give you an idea of Elementor’s capabilities and your degree of comfort in using its builder and editor.

Build and Publish A Hosted Website

If you want to create a WordPress website and also host it using Elementor, this is the plan for you. It costs $89/year and comes with all the features you need to build and publish a website.

The features offered under this plan are as follows.

Templates

The good news with Elementor is you don’t have to create websites from scratch. Instead, simply take an existing template and customize it for your business. You can change the layout and colors, add your business logo, include design elements, and more.

In this plan, you get 300+ Pro templates and 30+basic templates that span across all organizations and industries. Simply pick the one you like and start customizing it, so your website is ready in just a few minutes.

There are theme-based designs for designing websites for specific events or other purposes.

You also get 60+ Pro website kits as a part of this plan!

Intuitive Builders

Now, you might wonder how to customize the templates mentioned earlier.

Elementor’s drag and drop live editor allows you to move the elements, drop them at specific locations, and create designs just the way you want. You can even see how your website will look as you drag and drop the design elements on the page.

You can also quickly create forms using the Form Builder and pop-ups using the Popup Builder respectively. These tools are simple to use and are intuitive for the most part. Hence, no prior technical knowledge is required to use any of these tools. Simply have a design in your head and implement it using these builders!

This plan also comes with a WooCommerce Builder for building WooCommerce sites.

Hosting

Hosting is the one aspect that differentiates this plan from the other Elelemntor pricing plans.

Along with hosting, you also get,

  • SSL certification
  • 20 GB storage space for all your files and images
  • CDN by Cloudflare
  • Automatic and manual backup options
  • Free Elementor and custom domain. You can choose the one you want.
  • Support for up to 25K monthly visits

You also get premium support, 24X7 live chat, and integration with the Google Cloud Platform.

In all, this Elementor pricing plan is a good choice for building and hosting websites.

Moving on, let’s look at the different pricing options for installing the Elementor Pro plugin.

Essential

The Essential plan is ideal for just one website and costs $49/year.

It comes with a drag and drop live editor along with 90+ basic and pro widgets, 300+ basic and pro templates, and 60+ pro website kits. You can use Elementor’s theme builder to create stunning websites under this plan.

It also comes with priority support.

In all, this is a good plan, but can prove to be expensive for just one website. While there is no separate plan for three websites, you can reach out to customer care, and get this option for $99/year.

Expert

According to Elementor, this is the most popular plan, as you pay just $199/year and can use it for up to 25 websites! This can be a good deal for small and medium businesses that have to build websites for multiple clients.

A key differentiator of this plan is that you can be featured in Elementor’s Experts Network Profile where you can showcase your project and get hired for building more websites.

In addition to what’s offered under the Essential plan, you also get additional 20 expert website kits.

Studio and Agency Elementor Plans

The Studio and Agency plans allow you to build more websites using the same plugin.

With Studio, you can build a maximum of 100 websites and it costs $499/year while with the Agency plan, you can build up to 1000 websites for $999/year.

Other than this, there are no differences between these two plans. When you compare them with the Expert plan, you get VIP support in addition to the other offerings.

Overall, the Expert plan is a good choice for SMBs while the $99/year plan should suffice for individuals who want to design their websites.

Now that you know how much Elementor costs, you can plan accordingly, and pick the plan that would work best for you.

Let’s now look at some FAQs related to Elementor costs and plans.

How Can I Cancel My Elementor Pricing Plan?

Note that your Elementor Pro plans are auto-renewed, so you must explicitly cancel them. The plan will continue to be available until the end of the subscription period even after canceling, and will not get auto-renewed for the next year.

To cancel your plan,

  • Log into your Elementor Pro account
  • Look at the left sidebar and navigate to Subscriptions
  • If there is more than one subscription, click on the subscription you wish to cancel.
  • In the subscription pane, click on the 3 dots icon in the upper right-hand corner.
  • When you click these three dots, a drop-down menu will open. This will have auto-renewal turned on. Simply uncheck this option and your plan will cancel at the end of the subscription period.

Later, if you choose to renew your subscription, you can do it manually.

The Elementor support team will notify you via the WordPress dashboard and will also send you an email when your subscription is about to expire. You can use the same links to renew your subscription at any time.

An important aspect to consider is that you will not get any refund when you cancel your subscription. It will only stop the auto-renewal process.

If you are in the early part of your subscription and want a refund, reach out to the Elementor support team. Also, remember that you get 100% money-back when you cancel within the first 30 days from the date of payment.

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

Elementor accepts PayPal or credit cards through Stripe.

After you choose your Elementor plan, click “Checkout” and on the next page, enter your payment information for processing.

payment method

Elementor accepts the following credit cards only –  Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express, Diners Club, Union Pay, JCB.

What Happens To My Data and Website After I Cancel The Elementor Subscription?

For starters, your data will be safe, and it will not be removed.

When you cancel your subscription, you revert back to the Free plan and all the restrictions of this plan will apply to you from the time of cancellation. Anything done during the subscription period will stay as it is.

Any changes that you make to your website after cancellation will be updated in the free version only.

Also, you will not have access to any premium widgets or templates, and no priority support as well!

How To Upgrade My License?

You can upgrade your license to higher plans at any time. At the time of upgrading, you only pay for the difference. For example, let’s say you started the Essential plan on Jan 1st,  2021. On July 1st, 2021, you decided to upgrade to the Expert plan. You will only pay $199-$49 = $150 that is prorated for six months, which means you will have to pay only $75 at the time of upgrade.

To upgrade, log into your Elementor account and go to Subscriptions. Look for an option called “Upgrade” and click it.  You can choose the plan you want, after which you will be redirected to the payment page. Make your payment, and you’re all set to enjoy the additional features of Elementor.

The upgrade is instant!

How To Downgrade My License?

There are two ways to downgrade an account.

The first option is to cancel your subscription, wait for the subscription period to end, and renew it for a different plan. FOr most of us, this can be arduous.

The easier option is to just reach out to customer care and get your plan downgraded. You can also request a refund, depending on how much of your subscription period is still left.

Is There A Lifetime License?

No, Elementor does not offer a lifetime license. All its plans are only yearly and they are auto-renewed. This means, there will be no interruptions to the Premium services you enjoy from Elementor.

According to the company’s website, lifetime licenses are not sustainable, and over time, can lead to lower product quality for customers. This is why Elementor doesn’t offer a lifetime license and instead offers only yearly subscriptions to its services.

Do Subdomains Require Separate Licenses?

Yes, sub-domains require separate licenses and these add to your limit. For example, if you have the Expert plan, and have six subdomains under the same domain, you will be deemed to have used seven licenses and will have only 18 remaining.

That said, there are some subdomains that don’t count towards your limit, and they are:

  • Dev
  • Local
  • Test
  • Staging

For example, if you have dev.xyz.com or staging.xyz.com, they will not count towards your limit. This is because Elementor knows that such subdomains are more for your internal use and testing, and not for the external world. Hence, it doesn’t charge you for them.

I hope I’ve answered most of your doubts and questions in this article. Feel free to reach out to Elementor’s customer support if you have specific questions regarding your account or usage.
